Therapeutic Groups

Social Groups/Social Language Groups

The focus of these groups is to help children develop and integrate social skills in a fun and natural way. The groups facilitate self-regulation, ideation, collaboration, flexibility, problem-solving, and pragmatic language skills. Specific pragmatic language skills addressed include: inviting, showing, refusing, requesting, repair, and negotiation. Through these groups, children learn to apply these skills and learn the enjoyment of social interactions with their peers.
